There are two awards—one for newspaper
or magazine writing, in either
English or French, and
the other in radio or television broadcasting,
in either English or French. Entries in both categories
will be judged for their excellence in bringing before
the public
the facts about multiple sclerosis.
The 2011 award submissions are due on November 30, 2011 and must have been aired or published in general circulation media between January 1, 2011 and October 31, 2011.
Entries may be a single story or program
or a series and will be
judged on the basis on which they were submitted. Print
ads or broadcast PSAs will not be considered. Entries may
be submitted
by the individual writer or producer, or others on his
or her behalf with permission of the writer or producer.
MS
Society chapters may submit entries, with permission
of the writer or producer. A completed entry form must be submitted
for each entry. [Download

must include a ½ inch
VHS videotape of the program entry in its entirety. Date,
station and
place of broadcast must be shown.
Original copies of
newspaper or magazine articles are required. Submissions will
not be
returned. Entries cannot be submitted electronically.
Winners
will be judged by an independent panel of judges appointed
by the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. Decision
of the judges will be final. The jury reserves the right to
make co-awards in the case of a tie or to make no award
if, in its opinion, none of the submissions is suitable.
Permission may be sought by the MS Society to reproduce or
publish entries
in full or in part. Employees of the Multiple Sclerosis
Society of Canada, its divisions, chapters and units
are not eligible
to enter.
Entries must be submitted to
