UPDATE ON ACTIVITIES:
May 6: On May 6, the Manitoba Lotteries MS Walk was held at the Max Bell Centre at the Unversity of Manitoba. Nearly 2,000 Winnipeggers braved the rain and raised $265,000 towards the Walk's overall fundraising goal of $400,000. There is still time to donate:funds will be accepted towards the Winnipeg Walk until May 18. Here is a highlights reel capturing the fantastic & inspiring day:
MAY 1: On May 1, the MS Society was part of a flurry of activity to promote the kick-off of MS Awareness Month within Manitoba. We were on the CTV Morning Show and Breakfast Television, City Hall hoisted MS Society flags, MLAs were given red carnations, Sharon Blady, MLA, read a Proclamation deeming May as MS Awareness Month, and the Leg was illuminated in red lights, for the very first time, all night. Keep checking back here all month to see more activity updates!
