Volunteering

The MS Walk is the rallying point of the MS movement, a community coming together to support the estimated 3,000 individuals who are living with multiple sclerosis in Manitoba. Everything from signage to volunteers needs to thank, encourage and excite Walkers.

At the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, we recognize that our volunteers are our greatest resource. They make a world of difference in every area of the organization. Whether helping out at a special event like the MS Bike Tour, speaking on behalf of the MS Society, assisting with recreational programs, putting their skills to work in the office, or becoming a board or committee member, every volunteer contribution is highly valued and appreciated.
Why volunteer?
Volunteering enriches everyone's lives, offering benefits to the volunteer, to the organization, to its members and to the community. Volunteering with the MS Society of Canada, Manitoba Division offers you so much:
- The satisfaction of doing something positive for someone else
- The opportunity to use/improve your skills
- Valuable work experience for personal growth or to add to your résumé
- The opportunity to try something new
- The chance to make new acquaintances
- A pleasant work environment where you will be truly appreciated
- The knowledge that you are contributing to an organization that provides crucial services to people living with MS.
