For the third year in a row, the Quebec Division of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada will participate in the Mont-Tremblant Triathlon. The Olympic-style team triathlon involves teams of three people, with each member competing in one of the three following disciplines:
- swimming: 1.5 km
- cycling: 40 km
- running:10 km
By registering, each participant commits to raise a minimum of $450 in pledges to support the MS Society.
In 2011, the participants raised $53,000 for the 20 000 people living with MS in Quebec.
In June 2010, Novartis set up a dozen teams ready to face the challenge of an Olympic-style team triathlon. The MS Tri-Challenge teams were made up of representatives from Novartis, health care professionals and people affected by multiple sclerosis. The first edition of the MS Tri-Challenge raised more than $29,000.
