What is TeamMS?
A TeamMS is composed of a team captain and at least three walkers who register and raise funds individually. Invite your family, friends and colleagues to support your cause.
Nearly one half of the participants in the MS Walk belong to a team. Do like they do and start
organizing your team today! Each member must register and raise pledges. Find a team
name (let your imagination run wild!) and appoint a team captain.
On the day of the Walk, team captains will receive a special
acknowledgement. Troop the colours - this is an ideal opportunity
to display your team's identity.Spread the good news: tell your
friends, family, neighbours and co-workers. The MS Walk is much more fun in the company of people you like.

Recruiting a team
- Circulate the brochure.
- Put up posters in strategic locations.
- Tell your friends, family, neighbours and
co-workers.
- Ask your boss for support: ask him to invite
the employees at your company to join you.
- Write an article for your company newsletter,
mentioning your name and contact information.
- Personalize your approach: recruit or collect
pledges on behalf of a person you know who has multiple sclerosis.
- Organize a meeting with a multiple sclerosis
representative who can make a brief presentation to potential
team members.
- Take advantage of all the benefits of on-line
registration, such as sending invitations to your contacts
to join your team.

Obtaining sponsors for your team
- Challenge your team-mates! Set yourselves
an objective and help us increase the Quebec average collected
to $277 per WALKer.
- Encourage your team-mates to take their
pledge forms wherever they go.
- Ask your sponsors to give you their donation
as soon as they accept to support you. This way, you will
not have to go back to see them.
- Maintain regular contact with the members
of your team.
- Post the list of your registered teammates
and keep it up-to-date.
- If you would like to make a special agreement
for handing in your pledges as a team, contact the coordinator
of your WALK.
